The show serves professionals working in the global ocean science and marine technology sectors. In 2016, this biennial event hosted 520 exhibitors and almost 14,000 attendees. The event features an exhibition and conference, the programme for which has now been finalised. The conference has many technical tracks but the one of most interest to unmanned systems engineers will be ‘Unmanned Vehicles & Vessels’, which will be running on March 13 and 14. It will be chaired by Steve Hall, CEO of SUT; Dan Hook, managing director of ASV Global; and Prof Russell Wynn, chief scientist at the NOC’s marine autonomous and robotic systems facility. The track will examine the potential dividends arising from the current and projected deployment of marine autonomous systems, including ASVs, ROVs and AUVs. The programme’s topics will include comms and data as well as looking at the growing capabilities of unmanned vehicles in the marine sector. Also featured will be an unmanned multi- vehicle collaboration focused on ocean mapping and monitoring applications as well as maritime security. Prospective attendees are urged to register now via www.oceanologyinternational.com For more information regarding the technical tracks, conference manager Ellen Burgess can be contacted on +44 (0)20 8439 5420 and ellen.burgess@reedexpo.co.uk .
