I t is important to note that DeltaHawk has receive FAA certification for manned flight, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and safety. The engine design goals were simplicity and have 40% fewer moving parts than traditional engines. This allows the highest level of reliability and very simple maintenance, requiring only hand tools. The engines are direct drive and have no complicated electronics (and are thus EMI proof). They also feature various levels of systems redundancy, helping assure reliable operation. The engines are twin charged, meaning both supercharged and turbocharged which provide exceptional altitude capabilities. The engine can operate in tractor and pusher configuration. A vertical option is also available. The engines are available in 180, 200, and 235 hp, with a 350 hp model available soon.
